U L Y A N A CHAVA Set Designer/Experiential Designer/Graphic Designer

ABOUT
I have a long-lasting passion for design; I believe that Spatial Design is the most exciting field to work in for creatives with diverse skill sets. It has an innovative nature that combines graphic design, architecture, video, projection design, and has a tremendous interdisciplinary quality. Because of its constant reinvention, working in this field presents countless opportunities to learn, grow, and advance, which is why it is very alluring to me.

Also, my working in the field taught me a valuable lesson - the power of collaboration, that impactful, innovative production, design or experience is a result of collaborative efforts of an interdisciplinary group of people.

I graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with MFA in Scenic Design, Theatre Arts in May 2019. I also a recipient of the College of the Arts Distinguished Achievement in Creative Activity Award.

During the time of my studying in CSULB ( 3 years), I had been a member of the Repertory Company that was formed by our department. I designed, visualized, drafted and fabricated sets and props for the company’s annual productions.

In free time I enjoy long distance running, swimming, and sailing.
